Personal projects

I'm a software developer, a gamer, and a dad, and this site is a place to collect all the little coding ideas I have - either prototypes, or tools to help me plan and run my RPG games.

Pathcraft

Pathcraft is a Pathfinder 2E Remastered crafting helper for planning item creation and rune etching. It lets you configure a character profile, browse craftable weapons, armor, shields, alchemical items, consumables, magic gear, and adventuring gear, then see the relevant Crafting DCs, costs, setup time, requirements, and eligibility warnings.

The app also supports runes and enchanting, including weapon, armor, and shield rune compatibility, potency-based property slots, rune upgrades, transfers, and unavailable-option explanations.

Optional thematic ingredients are kept separate from official rules content, making it useful both as a rules-aware calculator and as a light creative aid for describing what the crafting process actually looks like at the table.

Shadowtracker

Shadowtracker is a campaign management tool designed to help run Shadowrun games. Its shared calendar keeps runs and campaign events in one timeline, making it easier to track the passage of time and see what is happening across the Sixth World.

A job ledger records runs, their status, dates, Karma and Nuyen rewards, while dedicated rosters keep player characters and NPC contacts organised with the details that matter during play.

It also includes a Shadowrun dice-pool roller with limits, hit counting, and glitch information, bringing the campaign's everyday bookkeeping and table utilities together in one place.

Hexland

Hexland is a compact web app for creating and running wilderness hexcrawls. It can procedurally generate a hex map with terrain, towns, adventure sites, roads, rivers, visibility, and a party start location.

From there, the map can be edited by painting terrain, placing or relocating points of interest, drawing routes, and writing keyed notes for individual hexes.

In play mode, the party travels across the map using terrain-based movement costs and pathfinding. The app previews routes, moves one confirmed step at a time, reveals explored areas, and keeps a concise travel log.

Threadboard

Threadboard is a front-end-only browser app for planning and running investigative tabletop RPGs. It gives you a corkboard-style workspace where you can create multiple boards, add notes, images, people, locations, clues, and events, then arrange them freely on an infinite pan-and-zoom canvas.

Items can be connected with colored, labeled strings to show relationships, theories, leads, and hidden links. Each item also has inspector-only details, including private notes, GM-only flags, and custom name/value attributes, so the board can stay readable while deeper prep remains close at hand.

The app stores boards locally in the browser, supports JSON import/export, and includes a Focus Mode that dims the board except for a selected item and its connected network, making it easier to trace clues and relationships during prep or play.
